Ashland & the Southern Oregon Valley · 1994–1996
Dysfunctional Yogurt
A coffeehouse jazz & beat poet band — horns, upright bass, a wandering tambourine, and a lot of poems about breakfast cereal.
The Story
Beat poetry, brass, and burnt coffee
Dysfunctional Yogurt was a coffeehouse jazz and beat poet band from the Southern Oregon valley, active from 1994 to 1996. Live sets, a Kerouac-tinged sense of humor, and songs about everything from Top Ramen to Phil Donahue — recorded on stages, in variety shows, and onto a battered 4-track. What follows is the whole catalog.
